Hallowtides Carnival Parade

31st October 2017 – Newcastle

Newcastle will be bustling with spooky characters as they prepare for the 2017 Hallowtides Carnival Parade, with creative costumes, floats, live music, bands, community groups, local business’s and sporting organisations this promises to be a spectacular event as it makes way down Main Street to the Festival Stage on South Promenade.

Street entertainment, fancy dress competition and live music will have the town buzzing even before 18:30 when the first floats of the Carnival Parade leave the grounds of the Slieve Donard Resort and Spa down Main Street towards the festival stage. Wise witches and warlocks arrived in good time to secure a viewing point.

Kilkeel Hallow Lights

Festival Programme

29th October 2017 – Kilkeel Town

9am-5:30pm  “Sparkling Specials” – Spend £10 and dip for that Golden Ticket/ spot prizes in apple tubs throughout participating stores in Kilkeel.

10am-3pm Hallow Lights Lantern Making  Classes & other crafts at Seascope, Binnian Enterprise Park, Kilkeel Harbour, every Saturday in October £2.00 per child, adult £2.40, Family Ticket £7 (2 Adults & 2 Kids)

11am-12pm Spooky Stories & Creepy Crafts, Kilkeel Library, booking advisable.

11am-3pm Afternoon Tea at John A Shannons, Newry Street in aid of Action Cancer.

2-4pm Children’s Fancy Dress Disco – Kids must be accompanied by an Adult – Kilmorey Arms Hotel, FREE.

7pm Family Fancy Dress Lantern Parade, Meet at Kilmorey Arms Hotel to the Mourne Esplanade, FREE sweets for all participants and Spot Prizes for Best Costumes!

7-9pm Hallow Lights Festival – Novelty Stalls, Face Painting, Music, Fire Pits, Refreshments, Hot Chocolate, Marshmallows, Candy Floss, Cookies, Candy Apples and lots more in the Bowling Pavilion, Mourne Esplanade.

(Bowling Pavilion Area – No Parking beside Bowling Pavilion – Pedestrian area only. Please use car parks either side of Mourne Esplanade and at Kilkeel Leisure Centre. Disabled parking opposite Bowling Pavilion adjacent to Leisure Centre.)

7:30pm The amazing Gail Hula Hoop Fire Performance!

8:30pm Hallow Lights Sparkling Fireworks Display! Bring all the Family! Mourne Esplanade.

8:45pm Pumpkin Carving Competition Prize Giving – Bring along your best carved pumpkin to the Bowling Pavilion.

9pm-late Halloween Disco – No Charge, Square 4.

10pm-late Adult Fancy Dress Disco –  from 10pm – Prizes for the Best Dressed, Kilmorey Arms Hotel.
